There’s just over a month left to lock in the new .au domain extension for your current registered domain names! The new .au extension was released 24 March 2022, for the means of:

• Delivering a wider choice of available names in the Australian domain.
• Allowing users to register shorter, more memorable online names.
• Providing names that are easier to type and display on mobile devices.

The introduction is the result of significant public consultation conducted in 2015, 2018 and 2019, and will bring Australia in line with many other country code Top Level Domains including the United Kingdom (.uk), Canada (.ca), the USA (.us) and New Zealand (.nz).

Why is it important to register our domains for the new .au extension?

As fantastic as it is to have another domain extension that makes life of the consumer easier, it makes the life of businesses a bit more challenging.
