Senior Systems and Network Engineer/Technical Consultant

The Technical Consultant is a Senior Systems and Network Engineer who is part of a growing and dedicated team of senior IT Professionals responsible for the analysis, design, delivery, management and support of client IT systems, with a strong focus on security and cloud solutions. The consultancy part of the role requires you to build a relationship with our clients in order to help them use the latest technology to accomplish their business goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Senior level technical service delivery.
  • Escalated support on client server and network infrastructure.
  • Major incident management coordination.
  • Manage client onboarding projects.
  • Assist in specialist professional services (project) delivery.
  • Client engagement at consultancy level.
  • R&D of technical design architecture, implementation and deployment
  • Coordination of technical activities with internal and client stakeholders
  • Documentation of technical framework and implemented solutions
  • Coordination with third party vendors and solution providers
  • Development of training and technical handover to internal support teams

 

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will bring wide all-round experience in Microsoft Server systems, Azure cloud solutions and contemporary security standards. Typically, 7-10 years of experience in ICT is expected, with specific MSP exposure an advantage. Extensive knowledge of Office 365, Virtualization and networking solutions such as Cisco and Barracuda is required.

Industry certification and personal development is very important to us. Microsoft 365 and Azure competencies will be essential to your success.

Full-Time Systems and Network Engineer – Level 2/3

As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Full-Time Systems and Network Engineer to complement our existing team in Salisbury.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess the ability to complete the following duties.

 

Responsibilities

  • Microsoft & Office 365 deployment, configuration and support.
  • Network, Cloud and Server configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Level 2 & 3 Help desk support for server, network, cloud and desktop related issues.
  • Capacity planning, installation, configuration of Windows Server and Network Solutions.
  • Assist in specialist professional services (project) delivery.
  • Project engineering during installations.
  • System documentation and maintenance.
  • Remote monitoring of systems at network and systems levels.

 

Successful Applicant will have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience supporting Microsoft server technologies, (Windows Server, 365, Active Directory).
  • Experience with storage administration, SQL Server, IT security, operational procedures, and disaster recovery.
  • Azure, Office/Microsoft 365 and/or other cloud based technologies.
  • Experience working within an MSP, and familiarity with the ConnectWise suite is desirable.
  • Hyper V experience.
  • Experience with StorageCraft & Barracuda solutions.
  • Strong client service delivery focus and the ability to effectively communicate with the end user.
  • Demonstrated hardware and networking support, including firewall configuration and support.

 

Essential requirements:

  • The applicant must hold a current and valid Australian or State Issued Driver’s License.
  • The applicant must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • The position is based in Salisbury, Queensland and some interstate travel maybe required.

MSP Account Manager

The MSP Account Manager is the person who takes ownership of the complete relationship with our clients. As an Account Manager, you will be the interface between the client and our internal sales, admin and operational teams in order for their experience with us to be consistently exceptional.

  • The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills and confident stakeholder management experience.
  • Proven several years of new business development experience selling managed services with a Managed Service Provider.
  • As the Account Manager you will rely on your analytical and systematic approach to account issues.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can effectively communicate with clients and internal teams at any level.
  • A love of technology, an understanding of Microsoft Modern Workplace, or a system engineering background will help you understand the technical requirements of the client.
  • Your experience as an account manager will set you up for the consultancy part of this exciting role.
  • A technical background and certifications on Microsoft 365 and Azure are an advantage.
